  1. Barry Sanders: Sanders is widely considered one of the greatest running backs in college football history. He played for the Cowboys from 1986 to 1988 and won the Heisman Trophy in 1988. Sanders set numerous records during his college career, including rushing for 2,628 yards and 37 touchdowns in his Heisman-winning season.

  2. Bob Fenimore: Fenimore played for the Cowboys in the late 1940s and is regarded as one of the greatest players in program history. He was a two-time All-American and was the runner-up for the Heisman Trophy in 1945. Fenimore led the Cowboys to their first bowl game appearance in 1944 and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1972.

  3. Thurman Thomas: Thomas was a standout running back for the Cowboys from 1984 to 1987. He was a two-time All-American and rushed for 4,595 yards and 43 touchdowns in his college career. Thomas went on to have a successful NFL career, earning five Pro Bowl selections and winning two AFC championships with the Buffalo Bills.

  4. Leslie O'Neal: O'Neal was a dominant defensive end for the Cowboys from 1982 to 1985. He set a school record with 34 sacks and was a two-time All-American. O'Neal went on to have a successful NFL career, earning six Pro Bowl selections and being named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1986.

  5. Rashaun Woods: Woods was a record-setting wide receiver for the Cowboys from 2000 to 2003. He set school records for career receptions (293), receiving yards (4,414), and receiving touchdowns (42). Woods was a consensus All-American in 2002 and helped lead the Cowboys to the 2003 Cotton Bowl.

  6. Terry Miller: Miller played for the Cowboys in the late 1970s and was one of the most prolific running backs in program history. He rushed for 4,754 yards and 45 touchdowns in his college career and was a two-time All-American. Miller went on to play in the NFL for the Buffalo Bills and the San Francisco 49ers.

  7. Mike Gundy: Gundy played quarterback for the Cowboys from 1986 to 1989 and later became the head coach of the program. He threw for 7,749 yards and 49 touchdowns in his college career and led the Cowboys to their first bowl game victory in 1988. Gundy has been the head coach of the Cowboys since 2005 and has led the team to numerous bowl game appearances.

  8. Mark Moore: Moore was a standout safety for the Cowboys in the early 1980s. He set a school record with 17 interceptions and was a two-time All-American. Moore was a key player on the Cowboys' 1983 team that won the Big Eight conference title.

  9. Russell Okung: Okung was a dominant offensive tackle for the Cowboys from 2006 to 2009. He was a two-time All-American and was selected with the sixth overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks. Okung has played in the NFL for over a decade and has earned three Pro Bowl selections.

  10. Kevin Williams: Williams was a standout defensive tackle for the Cowboys from 1998 to 2002. He was a consensus All-American in 2002 and was selected with the ninth overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings.
