He was a two-time consensus All-American and was named the Best College Football Player in the United States in 1941. Dudley's versatility and talent on the field earned him a spot in the College Football Hall of Fame, as well as a successful career in the NFL, where he was named the league's Most Valuable Player in 1946.

  1. Angela Hucles (Women's Soccer) Angela Hucles is one of the greatest women's soccer players in Virginia Cavaliers history. She played for the Cavaliers from 1996 to 1999, and was a three-time All-American. Hucles led Virginia to two Final Four appearances, and was named the ACC Player of the Year in 1999.

Hucles' career stats at Virginia are impressive, with 39 goals and 30 assists in 91 games played. She went on to play for the United States Women's National Soccer Team, and helped lead the team to gold medals in the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.
